What's New for 2023?

The Taos enters the second year of its debut generation with only a few yet notable updates. Principle among these is the addition of advanced driver-assist technologies to the base tier's standard features list. Previously part of the IQ.DRIVE package (available for base models and standard on higher trims, Front Assist (Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring), Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Traffic Alert are now included regardless of configuration. Additionally, SEL models now come standard with the previously optional panoramic sunroof.

    • The 2023 Taos is powered by a 1.5-liter turbo-four (158 horsepower, 184 pound-feet of torque) with impressive efficiency for a utility vehicle (EPA-estimated 28 mpg city, 36 mpg hwy, 31 mpg cmb).
    • Available 4MOTION all-wheel drive bundles a sporty dual-clutch automatic transmission and multilink rear suspension.
    • Cargo space measures 28 cubic feet behind the rear seats. For larger errands in Winthrop, you can fold the rear seats for up to 66 cubic feet.
    • Base models come standard with a 6.5-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, and an 8-inch VW Digital Cockpit instrument panel. All other trims get an 8.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and a 10.25-inch VW Digital Cockpit Pro.
    • IQ.DRIVE package (available S, standard SE, SEL) adds Lane Assist, Travel Assist, automatic high beams, leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, and leather-wrapped shifter knob.
